Replace Chemical Pest Control With Natural Predators of Pests

Square Owl boxes on tall poles can be seen looming above rows of vines in many of Sonoma and Napa county vineyards.  These are part of the viticulturist’s arsenal in the fight against vineyard pests.

By providing nest boxes and hunting perches, natural predators like the barn owl can be encouraged to nest and hunt in your fields, reducing the need for expensive and toxic pesticides.

Our comprehensive Pest Management Plan goes beyond the simple installation of barn owl boxes.  Each plan is tailored to the client’s needs, and may include nest boxes for the screech owl, insect eating bats and native songbirds, providing hunting perches for the red-tailed hawk, planting patches of native trees and shrubs to provide cover for the bobcat, fox and the rodent eating coyote.
