GIS/GPS Mapping Projects

Jowers PAMB Projects

The project site is off Mountain View Road just south of Manchester.  There are several PAMB burrow areas on this parcel and lots of suitable habitat.  We were able to convince USFWS that the proposed construction would not impact PAMB.  We also found a way to subsidies the property owner in the construction of a fence separating their horses from the endangered species.

Fishers PAMB Project

We mapped the PAMB burrows using a GeoExplorer III GPS unit.  This was very difficult to survey due to the topography, vegetative density, and poison oak.

Irish Beach PAMB Project

The Irish Beach subdivision has historic PAMB sites throughout the area.  This parcel was absent from PAMB, however, an old burrow area is just south of the project site.  It is over 100 ft from the site so the parcel was cleared of additional surveys and mitigation.

The Schooner Gulch Protective Betterment Project

Proposes to re-align a two-lane segment of State Route 1 in Mendocino County, upslope and away from eroding coastal bluffs.  Also removing an existing acro-bridge presently spanning a failed portion of the southbound lane.

Construction date 2004-2005.

BioConsultant LLC conducted the biological surveys.
